One the Same - Part II
Nadya had returned to the alley where she'd met the man. She hadn't wanted to, but she couldn't help it; for one thing, she hadn't eaten in a few days and he'd said that he would bring her food if she waited for him. Part of her still thought it was definitely a trap, and that he would have brought more soldiers instead of food for her. But there was something about his eyes, about the way he'd looked at her. His piercing blue eyes had seemed to cut straight through her; he saw past the dirt and grime on her face and clothes, past the facade that she'd created so she'd look like nothing more than a child. He'd seen her, in just a few seconds.
